ZEUS DEVELOPMENTS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP

Zeus Developments, writers of the Zeus Bulletin Board System (Zeus BBS), has been sold to a new management team for the future development of their communications software.

The buy-out of Zeus Developments was completed on the 25th of April 1999 with the acquisition of the complete Zeus source code. Zeus BBS is a bulletin board software package which has received acclaim for its modularity and the features it provides for user-interaction, including the multimedia ZAPP protocol.

Formerly developed by Alex May and Nick Loman, the system will integrate many new technolgies to bring the program upto date with the ever changing online world. Already sporting many powerful features, such as an unmatched ARexx support, ZeusDoor program interface and emulation features for doors written for many other BBS programs, Zeus BBS will transition from an online service provider to a complete online content delivery system; for Internet, modem and home networks.

In the following weeks, Zeus Developments plan the following:

o Reestablishment of the Zeus support network. The backbone of this is ZeusNet, a message network open to all Zeus system operators.
o To make the latest version of Zeus 1.1 available again.
o Reestablishment the world wide distribution network.

All Zeus system operators are asked to contact Zeus Developments for access to ZeusNet. Please include in your message how you wish to receive the network (Fido over E-Mail or dial up to a BBS).
